As the Editor-in-Chief, prof. Kozłowski oversees the scientific quality of the manuscripts submitted for publishing in EJTCM. He is also involved in promoting our journal in the scientific community.
He is a practicing cardiologist with a clinical interest in syncope. In the European cardiology community he is considered as one of the gurus of electrocardiography (ECG). Author or co-author of numerous research articles, including the Polish Cardiac Society's guidelines on ECG interpretation. In his spare time he enjoys practicing his car racing skills and dancing tango.
As the Vice-Editor-in-Chief, Tomasz oversees our Journal’s editorial process. He follows every manuscript from the moment its authors deposit it, through initial acceptance and the double-blind peer review process. In addition, Tomasz is the main recruiter of EJTCM article authors.
Tomasz is a practicing neurosurgeon with clinical interest in neuroimaging and neurovascular surgery. His additional research interest and secret passion are biomedical statistics. He is a frequent speaker at international neurosurgery congresses with a research interest in systematic reviews. One of his passions is mentoring neurosurgery residents and medical students who are interested in publishing scientific articles.
As the Secretary, Justyna oversees numerous business and communication tasks at the EJTCM Office.
Justyna is in the final year of her medical studies at the Medical University of Gdańsk. She also works at the University Clinical Centre in Gdańsk in the Department for the Management System and Accreditation. Her clinical interests include neurosurgery and oncology. She speaks English, French and Spanish fluently. In her spare time Justyna coordinates two clinical trials on the behalf of the Department of Neurosurgery. From an early age she has been passionate about football and figure skating. She is a happy owner of a dog named Iniesta.
As the Managing Editor, Małgorzata coordinates our Journal’s entire publishing process. In addition she is responsible for EJTCM’s growth & promotion strategies. Due to her extensive work experience at the Main Library of the Medical University of Gdańsk, Małgorzata also ensures the correctness of references and Digital Object Identifiers in every article we publish.
Małgorzata is a graduate of the University of Gdańsk (MA degree in Library Science and Scientific Information) and also holds a post-graduate degree in Computer Graphics and Multimedia from the WSB University in Gdańsk. Her editorial work experience includes the multimedia publisher Young Digital Poland, medical publisher Via Medica and EJTCM’s predecessor Annales Academiae Medicae Gedanensis.
As the Desktop Publishing Editor, Izabela maintains high visual standards of the European Journal of Translational and Clinical Medicine and Gazeta GUMed (the official newspaper of the Medical University of Gdańsk). In addition she communicates with the authors regarding the final versions of their articles before publish.
Izabela is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (MA degree in graphic design) and has been involved professionally in graphic design since 2015. Her interests include layout design, desktop publishing (DTP), branding and promotional material design. Her portfolio includes work for numerous cultural institutions. She is a supporter of minimalism in design and her motto are the words of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the pioneer architect of modernism, “less is more.”
As the Language Editor, Janusz oversees the quality and clarity of language of all EJTCM articles and webpages.
Janusz holds a BA degree in Sociology from the University of Washington and an MD degree from the Medical University of Gdańsk. He is a practicing emergency medicine specialist with clinical interest in evidence-based emergency care. In his spare time he enjoys making noise with his electric guitar as well as family bicycle trips. He is a firm believer in the philosophy that like all tools, words ought to be used correctly and precisely.
As the Finance Administrator, Beata oversees the finances of our Journal. In addition, she is „the right hand” of our Editor-in-Chief.
Beata is a graduate of the Kazimierz Wielki Academy of Bydgoszcz (BA in Health Education). Since 1989 she has been part of the team at the Department of Cardiology & Electrotherapy. She skillfully used her experience while working as our Journal’s Secretary in the years 2017-2020.
